Tifton, Georgia, has been ranked as the 24th prettiest small town in the state by Southern Living. Although the specific criteria for the ranking were not disclosed, the editors noted that Tifton, known as “The Friendly City,” offers a vibrant small-town atmosphere surrounded by picturesque farmland. The town is known for its shopping spots like The Big Store and The Pineapple Post, and it’s also a hub for agricultural research, with attractions like the Georgia Museum of Agriculture. Abbey McLaren, Tifton’s downtown development director, expressed pride in the recognition and highlighted the town’s tree-lined streets, unique businesses, and distinctive architecture. Other towns on the list’s top 10 included Americus, Blairsville, Blue Ridge, Brunswick, Clayton, Covington, Dahlonega, Darien, Dillard, and Dublin.
