The town is known for its shopping spots like The Big Store and The Pineapple Post, and it’s also a hub for agricultural research, with attractions like the Georgia Museum of Agriculture. Abbey McLaren, Tifton’s downtown development director, expressed pride in the recognition and highlighted the town’s tree-lined streets, unique businesses, and distinctive architecture. Other towns on the list’s top 10 included Americus, Blairsville, Blue Ridge, Brunswick, Clayton, Covington, Dahlonega, Darien, Dillard, and Dublin.
