A manhunt is underway for Andre Longmore, the suspected shooter in a tragic incident that took place in Hampton, Georgia. Four individuals were fatally shot in different locations within the Dogwood Lakes area of Hampton. Longmore, a resident of Hampton, is considered armed and dangerous and is believed to be driving a black 2017 GMC Acadia with license plates DHF 756.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Hampton Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, are collaborating to locate Longmore. A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest and prosecution. The motive behind the shootings remains unknown, and the identities of the victims have not been disclosed.
Authorities expressed their determination to bring Longmore to justice and urged the public to avoid the affected area. The incident contributes to the distressing number of mass shootings in the United States, with at least 382 recorded in 2023, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
