The Tift County Cross Country teams will be hosting the 34th Annual Run For Love, a community event that serves as the sole fundraiser for the teams. The event was first organized by the Sunbelt Runners in 1990 and later adopted to raise funds for the cross country teams in 2011. It consists of a 5K race and a 1-mile Fun Run.

Race-day registration starts at 7 a.m. on Saturday, with the 5K race beginning at 8 a.m. and the Fun Run at 9 a.m. The entry fee for the 5K is $30, while the Fun Run costs $15. Participants can register for both runs at a discounted rate of $40.

Awards will be given in various categories for the 5K, including overall male, female, and masters winners, as well as top three males and females per age group in five-year increments. The 1-Mile Fun Run will have awards for the overall male and female winners, with all other runners receiving a participation medal.

For registration and more information, interested individuals can contact Amanda Wimberley at 229-848-2759 or Crystal Lukas at 229-646-9531. Coach Cindy Marzen expressed excitement about the event and extended gratitude to everyone for their support of the Tift County Cross Country team.
